A George III silver vinaigrette in the form of a sea snail shell, the lid and sides with bright-cut engraved seaweed type decoration, the base engraved with a merman holding a goblet, the silver-gilt interior with a pierced leaf grille, Birmingham 1806, by Matthew Linwood, 3.2cm long, approximate weight 14.2gms, (with receipt). 64

Condition report

Slight loss of definition to engraved decoration on lid, later attached suspension loop, lid hinge has a small amount of play and grille hinge is tight, hallmarks are clear.
