The brass watch case with a screwed bezel and bevelled glass, silvered dial signed 'LONGINES CHRONOMETER', with 50-hour power reserve, seconds subsidiary and with black Arabic chapters, the nickel bridged movement with lever escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance with blued steel hairspring with overcoil, micrometer cam adjustment and jewelled to the centre, signed 'LONGINES WATCH Co. SWISS / SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS / ADJUSTED TO THREE 3 POSITIONS', with glazed cover to the back, in a later walnut hinged easel case
The watch 9cm diameter. Illustrated
The walnut case 13.5 x 12.5cm
The walnut case is probably not contemporary with the deck watch.
The wooden case has makrs and scratches consistent with age. There is a strut at the back, no significant damage.
The watch case is a corn lacquer and was probably mounted in gimblas. There is a pivot hole on the last edte and two screw holes to the right edge as evidence.
The dial has some marking mainly ust to the right of the power indicator and around the seconds deial. It is running well.
