A George III Scottish mahogany longcase clock
William Chisholm, Aberdeen

The case with a swan neck pediment, surmounted by a finial, above a glazed arched door, flanked to each side by a gilt Corinthian capital and fluted column, the trunk flanked to each side by a three-quarter column and centred with an arched panel door, on plain plinth and stepped foot; the 12in. arched white painted dial, inscribed 'Wm Chisholm, Aberdeen', with seconds and calendar aperture, painted with a basket of fruit to the arch and spandrels, the twin train movement with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, (1 pendulum, 2 weights, 1 door key, 1 key).
