Adam has over 20 years’ experience in the auction world and has been part of the Bellmans team since 2005. During that time, he has built extensive experience as a general valuer and auctioneer, working across a wide range of specialist departments. His role today focuses on Works of Art, Cars & Automobilia and Collectables, drawing on a practical, well-judged approach and a long-standing understanding of the auction market.
Beginning his career assisting with furniture, Adam developed a strong grounding in traditional valuation principles before broadening his expertise across multiple categories. He is particularly adept at handling unusual material, cross-category collections and private estates, where experience, discretion and sound judgement are essential.
Adam oversees Bellmans’ Cars & Automobilia department and spearheaded the development of Bellmans’ online bidding platforms and digital auction strategy. His leadership in this area has been central to expanding the saleroom’s reach to a wider national and international audience, while maintaining the standards and integrity expected of a traditional auction house.
Away from the saleroom, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, metal detecting and uncovering overlooked or forgotten objects, whether within collections, garages or properties. He is particularly drawn to items with originality, provenance and a strong narrative.
