Will is a Director of Bellmans and has acquired a wealth of expertise — and worn many hats — since starting with the company 25 years ago. A furniture specialist by training, he also serves as Head of Logistics. He spent several years delivering fine art across Europe with Gander & White, working with some of the world’s best-known art collectors, before returning to Bellmans. This experience has proved invaluable, reinforcing the belief that there is truly “nothing Bellmans can’t do”, from moving grand pianos to relocating 20ft statues.
Will is highly experienced in taking the weight off clients’ shoulders when dealing with all aspects of clearing a property, from single items to entire estates.
Although he began his career in the auction world by chance — after his father secured him his first role at Bellmans — he has never looked back and continues to love his work. Over the years, he has developed a deep passion for antique furniture, driven by a fascination with its history and the stories behind each piece.
Outside of work, Will enjoys spending time with his young family and faithful black Labrador. He also coaches the Midhurst Juniors Rugby Team and still finds time for shooting, fishing, and enjoying countryside life.
Career highlight: Organising numerous single-owner sales, including Stockton House, Belgrave Square, and the Sir David Tang Collection.
Fantasy discovery: A previously undocumented Gillows specimen wood marquetry inlaid box, revealing rare insight into materials, workshop practice and design.
