European Ceramics Auctions

The European Ceramics and Glass department at Bellmans Auctioneers handles British and European porcelain and glass from a wide range of periods. Dedicated English and European ceramics auctions and valuations are held bi-monthly at our Sussex saleroom, while glassware is offered within our regular Interiors auctions.

Recent results include a collection of Royal Worcester porcelain, with fine examples by Stinton and Baldwyn, which together realised over £30,000. Other highlights include a 16th century German stoneware jug, known as a Bartmann Krug, sold for £8,400; a Russian Soviet porcelain oval tray dated 1920, which achieved £7,500; and a pair of Derby pigeon tureens, circa 1760, which realised £1,900.

Our specialists have extensive experience handling British and European ceramics and glass. Items are marketed to both private collectors and specialist dealers, with strong international participation from buyers in Europe and North America.

Valuations are available at our Sussex saleroom and London office at Cromwell Place, South Kensington, as well as at selected valuation days held around the country. Preliminary estimates can also be provided remotely, with further inspection arranged where appropriate.

To arrange a valuation or discuss a consignment, please contact our London or Sussex office and a member of the team will be happy to advise.
